Our six committees work hard throughout the year to keep CSK running. We are continuously working to improve the program by designing new curriculum, hosting industry panels, obtaining more funding, and making CSK accessible to as many people as possible.
Events works with other organizations including the EECS Department and other student groups to run CAP events, community events, etc. They also plan and host workshops with industry partners and member socials.
Curriculum continuously improves on the existing curriculum by designing new topics and teaching materials for each incoming cohort of CS Kickstarters. During the week of CSK, they staff labs and workshops.
Publicity and Design runs CSK's social media accounts and helps increase its visibility in the department, college, and media. We also design and order CSK swag like stickers and our signature purple t-shirts!
Industrial Relations communicates with potential and previous sponsors and applies to grants to help keep CSK completely free of charge. They also assemble and send a resume book to hiring companies.
Website creates and mantains this website by continually improving its features and design and updating new profiles and sponsors every year. They keep updated on CSK's progress and reflect it here.
Finance serves as a point of contact for companies interested in sponsoring CSK. They make each year's budget and track and document spending. Finance also works with the EECS Department and ASUC including running Big Give.
The program will be the week of August 9-15th. You do not have to have been a participant of CS KickStart to volunteer.
Help foster a sense of community during the program by living and engaging with our participants.
Lead labs teaching theoretical and practical skills including programming in Python, seminars on website building with HTML and CSS, stats and data science, as well as electrical engineering.
